Run your most recurring workflows in Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot without writing a long prompt. We’ve built five downloadable skills for the Currence MCP.
Skills are ready-made prompts that teach your AI assistant how to do a specific job. Each one tells your assistant which Currence data to check first, how to weigh it, and what the finished output should look like. You ask a plain question. You get an answer built the way a Currence analyst would build it, with links back to the platform.
We picked these five because they tested cleanest against the live MCP, across investors, innovation scouts and corporate strategy teams.
Setup takes about 20 seconds for Claude and a bit longer for Copilot. Prefer video? Watch the walkthrough:
1. Connect the Currence MCP
Choose the assistant your team uses.
2. Download the skills
Downloads start automatically.
Or get all five at once: Currence Skills Pack
3. Add them to your assistant.
Drag the skill zip file(s) into the chat and ask your assistant to save it as a skill.
To upload by hand:
- Claude: Customize → Skills → Create New Skill → Upload a Skill
- ChatGPT: Skills → New Skill → Upload from your computer
Tip: Ask for platform links in any prompt. Add "include Currence platform links" and you can click through to the full company, project or deal page to check the source.
Sector Landscape
Get up to speed on any market in one prompt. Your assistant starts from Currence analyst research, then pulls the leading companies and the last 12 months of deals to build a one-page landscape with drivers, limiters, key questions and signposts.
Prompt it now
- "I'm at a nuclear conference next week. Brief me on SMR trends, drivers, limiters and policy."
- "Should we enter the behind-the-meter data center power market? Give me the size, who's winning and the barriers to entry."
Tip: Tell your assistant who the output is for. "For an investment committee" or "for a slide" changes the depth and the format.
Company Vetting
Separate real traction from pitch-deck claims before your next meeting. Your assistant benchmarks a company's technology against Currence readiness scoring, checks its deals, projects and contracts, compares it to peers, and gives you the questions to ask.
Prompt it now
- "A company just told me their process is at TRL 7. How mature is the technology really, and is anything running at that scale?"
- "I'm meeting [company] tomorrow. Vet them against their closest peers and tell me what to ask."
Tip: For a technology you don't know, say "check the Currence tech profile first." That is where the readiness scoring lives.
Project Credibility Check
Find out whether a project will actually get built. Your assistant reads the Currence credibility score factor by factor, checks contracts, financing and recent events, and looks at the developer's record of delivering past projects.
Prompt it now
- "How credible is [developer] based on their track record of actually delivering projects?"
- "Who else is securing power in northern Virginia, and which of their projects look real?"
Tip: Ask "what would move this score?" The answer tells you which missing piece to watch, such as a signed offtake or an announced power supply.
Weekly Signals Brief
Start each week knowing what moved in your markets. Your assistant scans Currence market events, deals, policy and new research for the sectors, companies and themes you track, then ranks the top three and groups the rest into a two-minute read.
Prompt it now
- "Where are data center moratoriums in force or being debated, and what has changed in the last week?"
- "Brief me on what happened this week in long-duration storage, geothermal and SMRs."
Tip: Schedule it. Ask your assistant to "run the Currence weekly signals brief every Monday at 8am" and it will be waiting for you. Scheduling works in assistants that support automated tasks.
Thesis Builder
Turn a theme into a thesis you can defend. Your assistant breaks your idea into the drivers that must be true, gathers Currence evidence for and against each one, maps the players and capital, and flags the whitespace and the open questions.
Prompt it now
- "Build me a thesis kit on PFAS destruction and treatment. Is it investable now?"
Tip: For niche themes, ask your assistant to "search Currence market events by keyword." Specialist topics like PFAS are often tagged under a broader sector, so a keyword search finds more.
Tips for better answers
- Ask for platform links. Add "include Currence platform links" to any prompt.
- Usually an LLM knows to use our data where appropriate. But if you want to guarantee it, name Currence.
- Start with research for judgment calls. For "who's winning?" or "what matters?", ask it to check Currence research first. For counts and lists, ask for the data directly.
- Not sure where to start? Ask "What can the Currence MCP do?"
